How listings work
Free 6-month listing. No card, no auto-renew. Your listing simply ends unless you choose to keep it.
Where the towns come from
Great Britain towns are Office for National Statistics Built-up Areas (December 2022), linked to counties and unitary authorities, under the Open Government Licence v3.0. Contains OS data © Crown copyright and database right 2026. English places are grouped into ceremonial counties, so Plymouth sits under Devon. Northern Ireland towns are from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and are filed under the six traditional counties.
A town with no approved business is kept out of search results. Opening the link still works, and the page does not invent a shop.
Where the businesses come from
A business adds itself from List your business free. We check the submission before it is shown. The page shows the name, services, address or service area, opening hours and the contact links the business supplied. There is no other source of shop names on a town page.
If listings cannot be saved, the form says so and nothing you type is stored. Town pages then show no businesses.
The 6 months
Approval starts a 6-month term. No card is taken and the listing does not renew on its own. The end date is stored. After that date the listing is hidden from town pages, its profile and the sitemap. The business can open its keep link and choose to keep the listing, which starts another 6 months. The listing terms say the same thing.
Written guides
Some towns already have a longer guide. Salcombe's guide is on the Salcombe town page.
Kingsbridge
Kingsbridge stays on its existing page. This directory does not add a second Kingsbridge list, and it does not place that Kingsbridge business on other towns. computer-repair.uk is operated by KTechnology Solutions Ltd, Springfield Farm Shop, East Charleton, Kingsbridge, Devon, TQ7 2AR. That company also publishes the Kingsbridge page. Every other listing is a business that submitted itself.
